BREAKING: NiMet Forecasts Rain & Sunshine in Nigeria (Mon–Wed), Thunderstorms Expected

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted a combination of rainy and sunny weather conditions across Nigeria from Monday through Wednesday, warning residents to expect fluctuating atmospheric patterns across different regions of the country.

According to the agency’s latest weather outlook, most parts of Nigeria will experience intermittent sunshine in the mornings, followed by cloudy conditions and thunderstorms or rainfall activities later in the day, depending on location.

NiMet forecast generally sunny conditions in the morning hours across the northern states, with a likelihood of isolated thunderstorms and rainfall in the afternoon and evening. States such as Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, and surrounding areas are expected to record varying intensities of rainfall within the period.

In the North-Central zone, residents are expected to experience cloudy mornings with occasional sunshine, while thunderstorms and moderate rainfall are likely later in the day. Areas including the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), Niger, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, and Benue fall within this forecast pattern.

For the southern part of the country, NiMet predicted cloudy skies with periods of rainfall and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours. Coastal and inland states such as Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Enugu, Abia, and Imo are expected to experience consistent weather activity during the period.
