The incident reportedly happened after a serious misunderstanding between the young student and her mother, who has been struggling to sponsor her education since the death of her father.

According to reports from residents, Faith is about 23 years old and is one of three children. Her mother is said to be a petty trader who sells provisions in the market to take care of the children and pay their school fees.

Since the death of the father, the woman has been raising the children alone without support. Neighbours say she has been trying her best to make sure the children go to school.

Reports say Faith had been staying away from home for about three days without telling her mother where she was.

During the struggle, the situation reportedly became more embarrassing as Faith’s clothing was affected in the process, which caused further attention from onlookers.

Some residents were shocked and said they never expected such a serious fight between a mother and her daughter, especially given how the mother has been struggling alone to sponsor her education.
